Boston Red Sox Opening Day – This past Monday, 400 members, parents and staff descended on Fenway Park as the guests of the Boston Red Sox and Mayor, Martin J. Walsh for a very special event. We were guests for the Opening Day game of the 2015 season. In addition, 50 lucky participants served as Ambassadors for the players on both teams as they were introduced. It was a great day for all and we thank the Mayor and the Boston Red Sox for their outstanding hospitality.
Clubhouse Showcase – This Friday (4/17) our Music Clubhouse will join several other Music Clubhouse sites to take part in the Showcase at the Blackstone Community Center. Our ensemble has been working tirelessly to prepare. The Showcase is one of many opportunities for members to show their talents including recitals, open mic nights, and the recently concluded Clubhouse Idol competition. NFTE Program – in partnership with NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) the Club will be hosting a 2-week Business Academy from 7/6 to 7/17 for students in 8th grade or higher. Each participant will create a business plan and there will be a N.Y.C. Trip and stipends included. Outdoor Adventure Club Trip – In partnership with the Youth Opportunity Program of the Appalachian Mountain Club, a group of members will enjoy an overnight stay in the Berkshires during the April School Vacation Week. The 2-day trip is one of a series of outdoor activities the Club will partner with Y.O.P. on this year.
