Rodman Ride for Kids – The Annual Rodman Ride for Kids fundraiser is fast approaching on 9/24. The Ride offers 25, 50 and 100 mile routes that begin and end in Foxboro and travel throughout Southeastern, MA. The Club is actively seeking new riders, sponsors and volunteers to join our returning partners. New this year will be our Alumni team of riders, who have signed on to support the Club’s efforts. N.F.T.E. Academy – The Club and N.F.T.E. (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) will kick off our 2nd Annual Summer Academy on 7/25 for teen participants. The 2-week Academy will be held on the Campus of Suffolk University and will include a trip to NYC, a selling event, and a presentation competition on their respective business plans. Attorney General’s Office Field Day – On 7/22 interns from the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General will be visiting the Club to volunteer at our Annual Field Day event. Members will travel (weather permitting) to McConnell Park for outdoor activities and a BBQ. The volunteers will be on hand to lead all of the games for the day. This marks the 7th consecutive Summer the volunteers have joined us.
Meals Program – Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Walmart Foundation and the P&G Foundation the Club is continuing its Meals program to members of all ages this Summer. Support from both Foundations is helping to provide breakfast and lunch to our daytime program along with dinner and snack for our Teen members during the evening as part of the Safe Summer Streets program.
