F.I.T. Club – The F.I.T. Club is a fitness program for members ages 8 to 18 that meets weekdays in the afternoon and offers a series of rotating stations that members can take part in. In addition, a group of members will be invited to the Boston Harbor Islands Alliance 5K Road race taking place on Spectacle Island on 6/14. For more information on the F.I.T. Marilyn Rodman Theater for Kids – On 7/1 the Club will attend the show “Newsies” at the Opera House thanks to the Marilyn Rodman Theater for Kids program. The Broadway Show produced by Disney will be in town for three weeks. The Theater for Kids program has afforded Club members the opportunity to see shows such as Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King, and Wicked. Member Recognition Night – The Club will be hosting its Annual Member Recognition Night on 6/25. Invitations will be mailed to all the award winners covering all core program areas. We will also present the Director Awards from each area as well as the Youth of the Year awards. The night will also include dinner, performances and member displays. Diplomas to Degrees Conference – Congratulations to the 10 High School age members who will be attending the Diplomas to Degrees Conference being held this weekend (6/5 to 6/7) on the campus of Rivier College in NH. While at the Conference our members will take part in college planning workshops, hear from recognized speakers in the higher education field, and enjoy social activities with the other 250 participants attending.
