Future Music Group – This past Friday, members of the Future Music Group at the Club held a CD Release Event. The first-ever CD features Club members: Mishaliz Melo, Sachi Vicente, Mayal Levy, Nalyla Nguyen, Kai Leigh Harriott, Betzalee Matos and Kesha Ramos. Winter Program Registration – The Club hosted registration for Winter programs last week which will run from January to March. For those unable to make it you can check in with our core area Program Directors to check on available openings. Program opportunities included Fine Arts, Music, Film & Photography, Athletics, Education, Teens, Aquatics as well as Bantams (ages 5 & 6) and our Twilight program which runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. weeknights for ages 7-12. Holiday Closing – A reminder that our drop-in membership program will be closed from 12/23 to 1/4. We will re-open to programming on 1/5. From 12/28 to 1/31 and on 1/4, the Early Education & Care programs will be open to enrolled members. There will also be limited spots in our After School Care program for members ages 5-12.
Young Adult Book Club – 10 of our members joined together with Yooree Losordo, owner of @OnTheDotBooks in @Dot2DotCafe. Members met Dot2Dot Café owner Karen Henry-Garrett and enjoyed delicious scones while discussing this month’s Young Adult Book Club selection, The Forbidden Library by Django Wexler. Brand new books are generously donated to each Young Adult Book Club member each month.
