Intermediate/Senior Basketball League – The 10-team Intermediate/Senior Basketball League kicked off this week with 6 games played over three days. Weekday games featured the Senior division with Tuesday’s opener seeing Monmouth, behind Derek Dykens (23) defeating California 56-53. Randy Pereira (20) led California. In the second game UConn defeated Wake Forest by a score of 72-63. Walter Dew-Hollis (20) led UConn while Keon Harris (18) led Wake Forest.
On Thursday two more games were held with Michigan defeating Syracuse 81-71. Anthony Ruzzo (27) and Junior Martinez (20) led Michigan and Syracuse respectively. In the late game it was UConn defeating Monmouth 83-60. UConn was led by Hakeem Hardy (19) while Anthony Louis (19) led Monmouth. Music Lesson Program Recital – The Music Lesson program at the Club will host a Recital open to all lesson participants on 5/5. Members who have been taking part in lessons in bass, piano, saxaphone, guitar, voice and drums will perform for their fellow members and family. Music Program adding Violin Lessons – We are pleased to announce that the Music Lesson program will be adding Violin Lessons to the repertoire of classes this Spring. Classes will begin on 4/26 and spots are open for members ages 10 and older. The program will run through mid-June.
