Member Recognition Night – The Club closed out the school year program with our Annual Member Recognition Night Dinner. The event, which attracted over 300 members, parents and friends was a terrific night as we recognized outstanding achievement, sportsmanship, service and partcipation in all core program areas. The Director Awards were presented to: Mayal Levy (Music), Juliano Araujo (Athletics), Megan Miller (Aquatics), Jahzara Veiga (Tween Program), Jose Villar (Social Recreation), Lamarre Edouard (Education), Jayden Howard (Denney Center), Jared Hill (Film) and Nashari Davis (Arts). The evening also celebrated our Youth of the Year Finalists including: Mishaliz Melo, Jessica Martin, Michelle Beazley, Shannon Zarnoch, Alicia Feliciano (Girl of the Year), Barry Pritchard, Lamarre Edouard, Lamuel Pierre-Charles, Robert Lawless (Boy of the Year) and Shane Kelly (Youth of the Year). Congratulations to all of the award winners.
Summer Swim Team – The Summer Swim Team, for members ages 6 to 18, will kick-off this week with practices taking place Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings. Swimmers ages 11 & under will practice at 6:00 p.m. while swimmers ages 12 & up will practice at 7:00 p.m. The team will close out the summer season with a meet and family BBQ on 8/6. July Events – During the month of July the Club will host the following program visitors: Metro Lacrosse Clinic (7/14), the Elliot School for the Arts (7/16 & 7/23), Massachusetts Youth Soccer (6 dates), Curious Creatures (7/22), the N.E. Aquarium (7/27), and the Dance Collective (7/28). These partner programs will provide workshops, performances and/or clinics for members of the summer program to partake in.
