Museum of Fine Arts Artists Project – Participating members and parents will be heading to the Museum of Fine Arts on 5/8 to take part in the installation of the community arts project. Each of the 10 community partner organizations took turns creating the final project, beginning last September. Congratulations to all the members who took part. Community Care Projects – Over the next several weeks the Club will team with local companies for projects that will enhance programming and the grounds. On 4/28 we will partner with Neuberger Berman for a series of athletic activities. On 5/12, our friends from Chubb Insurance will return to place new Fibar in both playground spaces. Lastly, on 5/15 we will host volunteers from Sherwin Williams who will be putting a fresh coat of paint on the Marr Clubhouse.

I/S Basketball League – On 5/16, we will host teams from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine to take on the All-Stars from our Intermediate/Senior Basketball League. The Intermediate All-Stars will play at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by the Senior division All-Stars at 12:15 p.m. For more information please contact Bruce Seals (bseals@bgcdorchester.org).

Mayor’s Fair Housing Art Contest
– On 4/27 Club member, Jaliyah Dujour-Marshall will join several other youth from across the City as a winner in Mayor, Martin J. Walsh’s Fair Housing Art Contest. The winners will be recognized at a ceremony with the Mayor at City Hall. We congratulate Jaliyah on her achievement as well as all of the other Club members who submitted artwork for the competition.
