N.E. Women’s Leadership Awards – The Club hosted the 22nd Annual Women’s Leadership Awards Dinner last week at the Seaport Hotel. Over 550 guests were on hand to see: Joanne Jaxtimer, Regional Executive, Co-Head Global Philanthropy, BNY Mellon; Nora Baston, Deputy Superintendant, Boston Police Department; Dr. Cheri A. Blauwet, M.D., Paralympian, Sports Medicine Physician, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network: and Queenette Santos, Sr. Director of Programming, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester receive their awards. Many thanks to our Co-Chairs, Katherine Craven, Chief Administrative Officer, Babson College, and Lorrie Higgins, Alumna, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester for their extrordinary efforts. We also congratulate Club members, Destinee Morris, Caroline O’Brien, Alicia Feliciano and Mishaliz Melo who served as presenters, along with Aicha Tavares, who delivered the Keynote address. Safe Summer Streets Program – For the 26th consecutive Summer the Club will be hosting it’s Safe Summer Streets program for teens which will continue programming through to 11:00 p.m. weeknights during the summer.
