NFTE Academy Concludes – Congratulations to all 24 teen participants in the just concluded NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) Academy. The 2-week program concluded with each participant presenting a business plan they had worked on during the 2-week Academy. The final judging was held last Friday at the Edward M. Kennedy Library with family and friends in attendance. Our thanks to Boston College High School who hosted the program and to the Citi Bank Foundation who is sponsoring all 25 Academies across the country. The Boston Academy marks the first Boys & Girls Club partnership in the country. We would like to recognize Aiden & Michael Ring (2nd place tie), Elia Barros-Watler (2nd place tie), and Donovan Mannion (1st Place) on their finalist presentations. Dorchester Yacht Club Harbor Cruise – One of the more popular special events of the Summer is the Annual Harbor Cruise with the Captains from the Dorchester Yacht Club which will take place on 7/29. 40 lucky members will head out for a 2-hour cruise around the Harbor and will return to the Yacht Club for a BBQ. College Alumni Night Cruise – Teen members are invited to join us for our Annual College Alumni Night Cruise on 7/29. Thanks to our partnership with UMass Boston, 80 teen members will enjoy dinner and an evening cruise of Boston Harbor while hearing from former members currently in College on their experiences.
