Another entrant in Fourth Suffolk race?

We heard

..

We heard a rumor a few weeks ago that an unsuccessful candidate for City Council was considering a jump into the race to replace state Rep. Brian Wallace (D-South Boston).

That rumor has yet to pan out. But here’s a report from the Reporter‘s Mike Deehan about another City Council candidate, whose “No Nonsense-Mobile” last year struck fear in the hearts of the non-sensical, thinking similar thoughts:

Former Boston City Council At-Large candidate Bill Trabucco is thinking about taking his “no-nonsense” attitude all the way to the State House. The EMT is considering running for the state House of Representatives seat soon to be vacated by the retiring Rep. Brian Wallace of South Boston.

Wallace’s Fourth Suffolk seat is located almost entirely in South Boston, but also contains Dorchester’s “Polish Triangle” and St. Margaret’s Parish area on its southern border.

Trabucco said that he would run his House campaign the same way he ran for City Council, refusing to accept donations from supporters and paying for the campaign completely out of pocket.

“I’ve still got the Trabucco-mobile,” Trabucco told the Reporter Tuesday night at the McCormack Civic Association’s monthly meeting.

Trabucco, a life-long Dorchester resident, garnered about 3,100 votes in last year’s September primary for City Council At-Large.

Potential candidates have to turn in their nomination signatures by April 27.

Trabucco would be jumping into an already-crowded field, with a number of young Democrats and one Republican having launched their campaigns.
