Huge tip of the hat to City Councillor Matt O’Malley, who represents Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury, for finding this from an old episode of “Cheers.”
In the clip below, Woody Harrelson’s character runs for the District 3 seat. (A plot summary is available on IMDB.com.) The episode aired in 1993, the same year current City Councillor Maureen Feeney won the District 3 seat.
(And separately, fans of “Cheers” should really check out Ken Levine’s blog. Levine worked on “Cheers,” “MASH,” “Frasier,” among other shows. He’s also a MLB announcer.)
