District 3 candidate John O’Toole was back on the campaign trail on Monday after getting sidelined by a car accident last week.
O’Toole, former head of the Cedar Grove Civic Association, is one of seven candidates running to replace City Councillor Maureen Feeney, who chose not to run for another term.
O’Toole hit a pole on Morrissey Blvd. on Wednesday morning while attempting to avoid another car, he confirmed to the Reporter. “I’m in good shape,” said O’Toole, who spent three days in the hospital and appeared at the Memorial Day ceremony at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Monday.
A number of other District 3 candidates were spotted at Cedar Grove Cemetery, including Marty Hogan, Craig Galvin, Frank Baker and Doug Bennett. Over 1,000 people attended the ceremony.
O’Toole also visited several VFW posts and some BBQs, he said.
