In this week’s Reporter’s Notebook, we take a look at Elizabeth Warren coming to a Dorchester house party as part of her listening tour. Warren, a former Obama administration official, is expected to officially decide by Labor Day what her plans are for 2012.
But we’ll also point you to the blog of the host of the party, Joyce Linehan. Another write-up is available here, too.
The burst of enthusiasm over a potential Elizabeth Warren for Senate campaign is a pretty clear indication of the weakness of the current field. (Consultants, you can put away your talking points saying otherwise.) And in this case, the Washington Democrats who drew derision from Republicans and whining from some local Dems may have done Bay State political junkies — at least those who prefer a good, fun battle over wait-your-turn politics that so often dominates the scene — a favor in pushing Warren to run.
