Two teens charged with TechBoston Academy double shooting

The Boston Police Department reports arresting teens from Dorchester and Lynn on charges they shot a teacher and a student outside TechBoston Academy around 5:45 p.m. on March 15.

Police report that officers arrested a 17-year-old from Lynn who at first ran, possibly because he had "a loaded 9mm Glock 19 handgun equipped with a laser sight" on him at the time. Armed with a search warrant, officers found "a .22 caliber handgun equipped with a laser sight" at his home, police say.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, a 16-year-old from Dorchester surrendered himself to BPD gang-unit officers, police say.

Police say that after the shooting, the two teens fled on a single scooter. Both victims are expected to survive.
